Filter Performance Monitors. Filter Performance Monitors continuously monitor and display particulate emission rates and demonstrate changes over time by providing valuable feedback on filter plant performance (Electrostatic Precipitator, Bag, Cyclone, Scrubber Systems). In addition, location of faulty filter media by row or compartment, minimises the need to replace filtration media, reduces labour requirements for fault location and reduces process downtime. This functionality is often combined with Particulate Measurement Systems or via a separate Control Unit, thus achieving approved versions of these instruments. In addition, Filter Performance Monitors satisfy requirements to measure product loss from processes (eg driers) by monitoring changes in the emission profile to ensure minimum product loss. PC software further enhances the diagnostic capability of these systems for both “on-line” and “off-line” cleaning sequences of Bagfilters. |

Filter Leak Monitors. Filter Leak Monitors are used for monitoring changes in emissions from particulate arrestment plant (eg Electrofilters or bag filters) and provide a tool to minimise emissions from processes and monitor for arrestment plant malfunction (eg damaged filtration media). Determining when a filtration media is starting to deteriorate is vital in providing pre-emptive warning to minimise potential increased emission events and associated process shutdown from emergency reactive maintenance work. Tracking the short-term emission peaks via the sensors recorded data facilitates comparison of the magnitude of dust pulses resulting from cleaning cycles which in turn permits prediction and location of failing filter media. |

Gross Filter Failure Detectors. Gross Filter Failure Detectors detect significant increases in particulate loadings to indicate failure in the arrestment plant (eg gross filter failure or cyclone overflow). Gross Filter Failure Detector alarms typically require immediate reactive maintenance to be taken on the filter unit or cyclone, as there is no pre-emptive warning or indication of filter deterioration. |
